1. Data controller

2. What we collect

EcoSmartNest is designed to be privacy-friendly. The calculators run in your browser; the values you type are not stored on our servers. We collect:

  • Usage analytics — anonymized statistics (pages viewed, approximate region, device type) via Google Analytics 4, with IP anonymization. Where required by law, analytics run in a cookieless mode until you consent.
  • Advertising data — only after you accept cookies, our advertising partners may set cookies to measure and personalize ads.
  • Contact form data — if you email us or use the contact form, we process the name, email, and message you provide, solely to reply to you.
  • Server logs & security — our CDN (Cloudflare) processes connection metadata (IP address, user agent) to deliver the site and block abuse.

3. Legal bases

We rely on your consent for advertising and non-essential analytics cookies; on our legitimate interest for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate, privacy-preserving measurement; and on the performance of your request when you contact us.

4. Third-party processors

We share data only with service providers that help us run the site:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. — CDN, security, and edge delivery.
  • Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 (measurement) and, after consent, Google AdSense / advertising partners.
  • Email delivery for contact replies.

These providers may process data outside the EU/EEA under appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).

5. Cookies & consent

On your first visit you'll see a consent banner. Until you accept, no advertising cookies are set, and in regulated regions analytics run cookieless. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the site's storage in your browser. We implement Google Consent Mode v2, which adjusts data collection based on your choice and your region.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and the right to data portability. You may also withdraw consent at any time and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, email [email protected].

7. Data retention

Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' configured retention period. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up.

8. Children

This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy; changes take effect when published on this page. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
